The Prodigy leaked this new track on their website earlier today. “Who The Fuk Is Eddy Cochran” will not be on their yet to be titled fifth album, which is due out May 5. Apparently, it’s just a sample track for the The Prodigy’s official website.

a properly disappointing effort sorry to say. Boring riff throughout, tight production as always but it’s nothing a half-decent bedroom ableton/reason producer couldn’t accomplish in a day or three. The song show a true lack of imagination, it goes nowhere and the machine gun noises are frankly embarassing. If this were any other band, it’d be alright(ish) whilst still being nothing notable or special. We’ve come to expect so much more from the prodigy over the years however and it’s hard not to feel a little disappointed as much for them as for yourself.
A little bit more imagination next time Liam, PLEASE!

Chaz Bandini and Sean (above) obviously didn’t read the introdutory information properly. It isn’t a ’song’ or even a finished track - it is in fact, a simple ‘beat’ a ‘workout’ - a simple rythmn that Liam Howlett wanted to show the (real fans - the people who understand what they are about and where the prodigy are coming from - not the two musical degenerates above) fans some of his pre-production work. Fantastic beat - so much potential and easily impresses more than any of the beats in AONO. Don’t worry Liam, anyone with half a brain knows that this track was only a simple beat rythmn with a riff that WASN’T supposed to go anywhere (as it is’nt a full song!!Doh!!!!). Also like the intentional mispell of Eddy Cochran.
If this is the sort of beats that the Prodigy are rocking out fo their new album, I can’t wait!!!!!!!!! Great beat, Liam. Thanks for sharing.
